Cardio tennis is a new way to stay in shape and work your muscles - and pick up some tennis skills along the way!
Using drills and exercises based on tennis, these 60-minute sessions burn calories like crazy. Short bursts of speed and movement across the court and up to the net are combined with jogs around the tramlines, helping the body experience similar benefits to classic interval training. Coaches also feed balls up to the net for smashes (and this time it doesn't matter if the ball goes out!), which help build core strength as you set yourself to receive the ball.
Cardio tennis is a lot of fun, and is a highly effective way to build cardio and strength training into your week.

Cardio tennis is normally £5 - £7 per session, depending on the venue or any promotional offers.
This programme doesn't normally follow a progressive schedule, and so doesn't always follow school terms. We recommend regularly attending to get the most out of the sessions, especially as it enables you to clearly identify weekly improvements in your overall fitness.
No! Come along regardless of where your tennis skills are at - and in a few sessions, we bet you'll have improved without even realising it!
Playing skill and physical ability are not factors in joining or participating in a cardio tennis group, as it is all about fitness rather than playing the game.
It is a great way for families and friends of all ages and abilities to get out and exercise together.
Many of our cardio tennis sessions are for all ages (12+), but we do offer teen cardio or family cardio at several of our venues.
