Surrey Participation Info

We’re looking forward to welcoming your child to our forthcoming tennis camp at the Charterhouse Club.

If you have any questions, we’d love to help. Please phone our team on 01483 616101.

Please note: this will be a nut-free camp due to severe allergies- thank you for your co-operation.

Timings, drop-off and pick-up:

  • The camp starts at 10.00am and concludes each day at 4.00pm

  • We allocate coaches in advance to look after children and, outside of these times we are busy preparing for the day, so parents please be responsible for children until at least 9.45am and ready for pick-up at 4pm, unless you have registered for early drop-offs and late pick-ups with us

  • Early drop-offs from 8.30am and late pick-ups until 5.30pm are available for a small fee. If you would like to take advantage of this service, please us let know by emailing hello@premiertennis.co.uk.

  • Each child must be 'checked out' with their registered parent/guardian (please notify one of the Premier Tennis team if someone else will be picking your child up on a particular day)

Site restrictions:

  • Our facility agreement with the Charterhouse Club includes use of the tennis courts, indoor sports hall (in the event of bad weather), court-side pavilion and nearby changing rooms/loos

  • Other areas are 'out of bounds' and, for your children's safety and enjoyment, we would appreciate your support in helping us reinforce this

Contact:

  • If you have any questions about the camp or would like to let us know anything about your child, please let the Head Coach know on the morning of your arrival

  • If, at any stage, you need to contact us or your child urgently during the camp, please phone the Premier Tennis office number on 01865 689754 and we will get a message through for you

What to bring:

  • Racket: please bring a racket; PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR CHILD’S NAME ON THEIR RACKET

  • Food: NOTE: WE RUN NUT FREE CAMPS PLEASE DON NOT BRING ANY NUTS OR NUT BASED PRODUCTS AS WE OFTEN HAVE CAMPERS WITH NUT ALLERGIES. Please provide a packed lunch for your child, as well as some snacks for break time. The campers will be very active, so we recommend bananas or energy bars! FOR SAFETY REASONS, PLEASE NOTE THAT PREMIER TENNIS CANNOT PROVIDE ANY FOOD TO CHILDREN, AND WE ASK THAT CHILDREN DO NOT SHARE FOOD WITH ONE ANOTHER

  • Drink: please provide a drink/water bottle for your child. Drinks can be topped up throughout the day at the water fountains

  • Clothing: please wear suitable clothing. In the warm weather, a sun hat is strongly advised and sun cream is a must (please ensure this is applied before arriving on camp). We strongly recommend good tennis shoes or trainers, t-shirt and shorts; for changing weather conditions, tracksuit top and bottoms may be useful

Please remember… in the event of sunny weather:

· Equip your child with a sunhat

· Ensure that a water bottle is provided, that they can refill during the day

· Check that sunscreen is applied before leaving for camp and that your child has a supply with them to reapply throughout the day

· Your co-operation in helping us ensure your children remain safe in the sun would be much appreciated

Finally…

· Belongings: please take your child(ren)’s belongings home with you each day; we cannot be responsible for rackets, clothes, water bottles or lunchboxes left with us after your child has left, and will either donate items to charity or dispose of them

· Mobile phones: we would advise against mobile phones as we cannot be liable for loss or damage. If they are brought onsite, this is at the risk of the owner, and they should not be used during tennis sessions please (other than in exceptional circumstances)

· Photography: please be aware we may take some photos and or video footage from time to time during the week

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to call us on 01865 689754 or email us on hello@premiertennis.co.uk – we’d be pleased to help in any way we can.

Location:

· The Charterhouse Club is located at Duke’s Drive, Godalming, Surrey, GU7 2RS

· This is accessible via the Hurtmore Road entrance, then take the first right once you are through the main gate. Duke’s Drive is the left fork of the road.

· When you arrive please follow the signs from the car park towards the tennis courts, bypassing the main reception, and register your child at the Premier Tennis welcome desk in the pavilion by the courts

General Health:

  • We ask that children only attend if they are feeling well and especially to stay at home if they have any contagious illness (most notably vomiting / diarrhoea bugs) and only to attend after 48hrs of being symptom free

  • Our camps are fully inclusive and our coaches are skilled at adapting all content to the needs of campers. It is useful to know of any injury / impairment in advance so coaches have time to plan adaptions to make the camp super enjoyable
